On Sunday 03rd June we were in our usual spot at the Frome Independent Market, within the Somerset Farmers Market area but our usual offerings had a slight twist. Dawn has been raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support following the terminal lung cancer diagnosis of her father, Richard, last year. Sadly Rich passed away in October but the fund-raising has continued and we thought that Langsford's Preserves would be a good way of raising awareness of the charity and generate some funds for Macmillan.
As of Sunday the 03rd of June 2018 every jar of Jumbleberry Jam that we sell at a market, or other event that we attend, will generate 20% of it's sale price to Macmillan. Whilst this is unlikley to generate thousands of pounds we believe that the aims of raising awareness of the terrific work that Macmillan do and financially supporting the charity are more than worthy of our time.
Jumbleberry Jam is a Gold Medal Winning (Taste of the West Awards) mix of strawberry, raspberry and blackcurrant and is our best selling sweet preserve.
At the Frome Independent the sales of Jumbleberry has raised £15 for Macmillan Cancer Support. We aim to continue this for the forseeable future and we will keep you posted on the amounts raised.
